The George Alexander Foundation is proud of its scholars, and we want to give each cohort a fitting send-off as they approach the final stages of their degree and the end of their GAF scholarship.

If you are a GAF scholar finishing your scholarship in 2026, join us for an inspiring afternoon to commemorate this achievement and hear from a panel of recent GAF alum (see below) about the steps they took to get to where they are now.

This free event will give you some food for thought about what your life might look like after university. Oh, and actual food too — everyone who attends will receive a $25 food delivery voucher via email afterwards!

Angus Cheek
Angus graduated with an Engineering degree in 2024 and is now a Graduate Naval Architect, working on major defence projects. He’ll share insights on graduate pathways, relocating for work, and getting involved in STEM outreach.

Justise Woods
After graduating with a degree in Law and Criminology in 2024, Justise adopted an unorthodox approach to her career. She’s also your guide to using LinkedIn authentically and strategically.

Murphy Knowles
A former winner of the 2022 Young Citizen of the Year Award for his many years of service as a Lifesaver, Murphy works as a qualified Paramedic in Tasmania. He brings insightful takes on values and personal growth.

Sasha Sri Deenathayalan
Done with her scholarship but not her Law and International Studies degree, Sasha’s busy getting the most out of what uni has to offer, including overseas study. She’s making moves now that her future self will thank her for.

Our host and moderator will be May Samali, the Founder and CEO of Human Leadership Lab and a former John Monash Scholar, who will also offer advice on navigating life after a scholarship.
