The George Alexander Foundation Regional Scholarship Program at Adelaide University

The George Alexander Foundation Regional Scholarship Program commenced at the University of South Australia in 2021. In 2025, the University of South Australia merged with the University of Adelaide to form Adelaide University.
Despite the change in institutional name, the GAF Regional Scholarship Program remains unchanged, having been established to support regional students studying away from home.

Three scholarships are awarded annually, each valued at $24,000 and paid in instalments during the scholar's degree.

The scholarships are open to commencing full-time students from regional or remote areas who are relocating to pursue an undergraduate program at the University of South Australia's Adelaide campus.

All GAF scholarships recognise students who can demonstrate academic merit, community involvement and leadership capability.

The confidence and backing of The George Alexander Foundation ignited an increased sense of purpose and resolution in my academic endeavour.
