Craig is Chairman of the AFL, Chairman of Transurban Co Ltd, Chairman of the Australian Foundation Investment Company and Chairman of The Ian Potter Foundation. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Ramsay Health Care.

He was Director of the Geelong Football Club from 2011 to 2024, with the last four years serving as President.
Craig served as Chief Executive Officer of Medibank from July 2016 to May 2021. Prior to joining Medibank, he was Group Executive Finance and Strategy of National Australia Bank (NAB), and Chief Executive Officer and Country Head of Bank of America Merrill Lynch (Australia). He served as a Member of the Financial Regulator Assessment Authority from 2021 to 2023.

Earlier in his career, Craig held roles including Chief Operating Officer, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Chairman of Goldman Sachs JBWere.

Craig graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne in 1981. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a Fellow of the Chartered Accountants. He completed the Advanced Management Program at Wharton University in 2001.
