Dr Clark is Chancellor of Monash University, Australia. She was the founding Head of the
Australian Space Agency. She is a member of Bank of America Australia’s Advisory Board
and a member of the Global Advisory Council of Bank of America Corporation in the US.

She is Chair of MITRE Australia, a not-for-profit subsidiary of MITRE Corporation, which
manages six US federally funded research and development centres.

Earlier roles include a non-executive director of Rio Tinto, a non-executive director of CSL
Limited, CEO of CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency, and Vice President Technology
at BHP. She served on the Board of CARE Australia, involved in development and aid in the
Indo-pacific region.

Dr Clark holds a BSc from the University of Western Australia and a PhD from Queen’s
University, Canada. She is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technology and
Engineering, the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and the Australian Institute of
Company Directors.

In 2014, she received the Companion of the Order of Australia (AC) for services to Australia in innovation and science. Dr Clark is married with two children and serves as an active Surf Lifesaver for NSW.
