The George Alexander Foundation Scholarship Program at Deakin University

The George Alexander Foundation Scholarship Program commenced at Deakin University in 2006 to support undergraduate students relocating from or living in a regional or rural area.

Five scholarships are awarded annually, each valued at $25,500 and paid in instalments during the scholar's degree.

The scholarships are open to high-achieving recent VCE students from a rural or regional home location enrolled at one of Deakin's Burwood, Waurn Ponds, Waterfront or Warrnambool campuses.

All GAF scholarships recognise students who can demonstrate academic merit, community involvement and leadership capability.

Since 2006, over 90 Deakin University students have been awarded scholarships to support their educational goals and fulfil their potential.

I hope I am fortunate enough to be able to financially support students in the future as a testimony to this scholarship... I aim to ensure that my children understand the power of giving and assisting others to achieve their goals.
