The George Alexander Foundation Scholarship Program at Griffith University

The George Alexander Foundation Scholarship Program commenced at Griffith University in 2002. The Scholarship Program was established to assist commencing students with living and accommodation expenses.

Seven scholarships are awarded annually, each valued at $24,000 and paid in instalments during the scholar's degree.

The scholarships are open to commencing full-time students who've recently finished high school and reside at one of Griffith University's Residential Colleges at the Nathan, Gold Coast or Mt Gravatt campuses.

All GAF scholarships recognise students who can demonstrate academic merit, community involvement and leadership capability.

The scholarship encourages me to achieve more, simply because I know that someone, external to my friends and family, values me and believes in me.

The Scholarship Program at Griffith University is one of the first programs established by the Foundation and was developed directly by George Alexander himself.

Since the program commenced in 2002, over 150 Griffith University students have been awarded scholarships to support their educational goals and fulfil their potential.
