The George Alexander Foundation Scholarship Program at Murdoch University

The George Alexander Foundation Scholarship Program commenced at Murdoch University in 2008 to support students relocating from a regional or remote location. The Scholarship Program was established in recognition of the growing cost of living in Perth, which had become a significant barrier to higher education for students from regional and remote areas.

Seven scholarships are awarded annually, each valued at $24,000 and paid in instalments during the scholar's degree.

The scholarships are open to undergraduate students who have relocated from a regional or remote location to undertake study at Murdoch University's Perth campus.

All GAF scholarships recognise students who can demonstrate academic merit, community involvement and leadership capability.
